Elisa Toro Franky
Elisa Toro Franky was born in Bogotá (Colombia) where she began her training at the Myriam Guerrero School of Ballet. In 2004, she came to the US to train at the Miami City Ballet School. In 2007, she began dancing professionally with the Washington Ballet. Upon moving to New York in 2008, she toured and performed with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. In 2010, Elisa competed at the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi. As a company member with the New Jersey Ballet from 2010 to 2014, she performed a wide range of works including principal roles in George Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliant and Johan Renvall’s Tango. In addition to her work as a classical ballerina, she performs as a featured artist with both the New Generation and Christopher Caines dance companies.
